About Us

A Thoughtful Move was founded by Joan Roover, MSW, JD. A former hospital administrator and health care executive, with a Master of Social Work and a law degree, Joan's background makes her uniquely qualified to help seniors, their family members—all people in transition navigate through the complicated health care and legal systems as they right-size their lives.

Joan has more than 25 years of experience in health care. She has designed and developed services for the chronically ill and the growing senior population. She has resolved highly emotional, conflicting points of view and perspectives in a calm and competent manner that preserves important and meaningful personal relationships.

A Thoughtful Move works with individuals and families to help make and implement decisions at the time of life's transitions.
